Mort -- expert flyfisherman

No post from the yankees here visiting so posted one of Mort catching his first redfish on a fly, quite an accomplishment for those not in the know. Eric, Joe R. and myself dropped Mort off in the flats out around Anclote Key and headed back out in the boat to fish ourselves when after about half hour notice Mort fighting a fish and headed back to check this out. Arrive in time to see him land this slot red that was fine table fare later in the evening. I took the boys out diving on Sat. and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and maybe they will post and tell about their fun adventures at a later date. Weather has been in the 80's and Mom has had the tea ready each evening. Lucky for Mort he knows a good guide !!!!

This is Faye and I in front of the Major Oak in Sherwood Forest. It's about 800 years old, and so decrepit it requires bracing. Some of you may have noticed that, yes, I said Sherwood Forest. Home of Robin Hood. Or Robin Hode, in old english.

And here we are in Covent Garden before going to see Spamelot!.

This is me near Parliament. (Yes, it was actually sunny! For awhile, anyhow. Between snows.)

And this was taken while we enjoyed some gelato at Harrod's. Mmm...

Oh, and did I mention we got in from Nottingham at Kings Cross?

Anyhow, I am wiped out. My plane got in early today (astounding) and customs was a breeze (though I did get a few suspicious remarks for having such little luggage...just my school bag and a carry-on-sized duffle), and even the CTA was a bit quicker than usual. But then I got back to my apartment and it smelled of natural gas and the tub had evidence of some sort of sewage back up. Now, three hours later, all that is finally cleaned up and I can't wait to jump in the shower and get to bed. Don't call before noon (CDT) tomorrow.

Oh, and apologies to my favorite uncle, I didn't come across any Harley stores but next time will be sure to seek one out.

Anglican Easter

Hello, hello!

Sorry there are not pictures (yet), but wanted to say hello to everyone from London! Faye and I had a marvelous time up in Nottingham (went to Sherwood forest and everything) and spend the last two days down here in town. Monday evening we saw Spamelot (fantastic!) and yesterday we did some shopping, visted the Tate Modern and stopped by Downing Street before she had to head back north.

I'll be back in Chicago about 7:35 Central Daylight Time, so will head to the airport in a few hours here. Sad to have missed the basement clean up. . . But I'm sure there will be helping out to do to put everything back in, eh?

The Great Flood - '08

...just to give you an idea what the Main Street basement looks like now. Fortunately, all the Santas were safe and sound in a sealed container and the loom is in fine shape and is now moved to higher ground. Enough glassware to start a restaurant is drying out under the deck waiting for a run through the dishwasher. Most of what you can see in the dumpster is the shelving and paneling which was rotted out and had to be removed...all in a Saturday morning's work.

Paoli Rams - Sectional Champions 2008

The photo from yesterday's Paoli News-Republican

Megan and "Ram Man," our unofficial mascot

Even the cheerleaders got a turn at cutting down the net

After three very exciting games last week, the Rams earned a sectional victory, their first since 2002. They are scheduled to play Tri-West Hendricks at Southridge H.S. on Saturday at 10:30 AM. We're hoping we'll be in the game that night, as well. Here are a few pictures from last Saturday night.
