I also went on a field trip...I went to the Indiana State Museum. I had fun looking outside by the canal at the crazy county artwork. I took lots of pictures...here are a few.
I had to have my teacher turn the flash off every single time because I just couldn't figure it out.

The Overnight Zoo Field Trip

What a fun time we had at the overnight zoo trip! This is my group; they were all so good! (Of course, Gavin had to be with Katie!) We attended three sessions last night (petting animals and reptiles, visiting the commisary, and learning about the rainforest) and even got to go "behind-the-scenes" at the Plains area. During our last session (that began at 10:30), parents had to walk around and wake up the students! When "lights out" came at 11:45, it was not difficult at all to get the kids to sleep - they were exhausted. Waking up to the dolphins peeking in the window was pretty cool! After breakfast, we had a fun time exploring before returning back to school this afternoon. Katie and I are wiped out!

The used car lot is now closed.

The Beemer was sold this afternoon....now I can move on & start selling things from the house.

P.S. Don't tell Mom!
I noticed Sara and Greg did not get the pictures posted yet, but I thought I would let you know that for the first time in nearly 73 years, Mom mowed a yard. She was determined that no one else was going to do it. Yesterday, she mowed the entire south side of the yard and now she is doing the north. She just needs a trimmer to finish up. She doesn't realize how big this yard really is, not to mention it slopes. This is not a good yard for your first experience. I suppose that now she has mastered lawn care, we should teach her how to pump her own gas.

prom nite

after checking out the rapids of the Ocoee River, where the '96 olympic kayak event took place - buzzed up to Ducktown Tn in time to get an invite to the jr.-Sr. Ducktown prom. they said they would make us prom king and queen for sure if we went but declined and headed out for more dogwood viewing. Stopped by the Amicalola Falls and the lodge was worth the stop with the views from high above. Covered around 300 miles of mountain riding each day through out the Smokie Mtn. The Dragon is 311 curves in 11 miles, do the math on this one. U could view pics on Killboy.com if you would, look at 17 April for my pics of riding the dragon on the net. bike is back in the garage for now -- more pics later, had a pic of fly fisherman for mort but didn't do a very good job of photo and they didn't turn out but saw several guys thigh deep fishing.

Debut concert ...

Here is Greg with the band, after their debut concert last evening.
Elise performed her original music, just released on CD "A Circus Life"
Great (talented) kids and we enjoyed the evening!

appalachian trail

18 miles in one day, well it seemed like it was. Stopped at the Woody Gap part of the AP and went for a very short walk to say i hiked the AP. Now will have to get ready for a three day hike this summer. Been tooling around Georgia, Tenn. and N.C. for the past few days. Rode the Cherahala Parkway and Deals Gap on one day, two big names in biking. Have a couple days left to ride here and there before back to Florida. Weather as you can tell in the pics are still in the 50's abd 60's up in the mountains, mid 70's down below.

FOR SALE...

We decided we didn't need 6 vehicles so we are selling the Olds Bravada. I hate to see it go -it's been a great car. It's a 2001, AWD, (incredible in bad weather - drove in blizzards without a hitch), leather, loaded, CD/AM/FM, power-all, 112,500 miles and slightly dinged (Greg and Hannah drove it...) You cannot hurt this tank - it is rugged! Fairly new tires, new battery, new fuel something-or-other -- I have a glove box full of receipts for stuff I've fixed and replaced... if you know of anyone that is interested... it is for sale. Picture coming later... it's too dark now to take a pix... AP

UPDATE

I have a new phone, same number.

The Social Event of the Year

Last night was our Public Service Auction Gala. It's an annual fund raiser to support the Amy Bosman Scholarship Fund, or, money for students who get unpaid summer internships. (I'm hoping for one this year.) It was tons of fun, except that I lost my phone somewhere during the course of the night...

Me! If you're wondering why I have two drinks, it's because I needed to hold it for a friend. No, actually, the bar was about to close and I needed to stock up. You gotta get your money's worth at these things.

My friends Julie, Meredith, Leslie, Elise, Angie, Christine and Angela. And me, of course. We had tons of fun, and came away from the evening with a brunch (by Mere and her roommate) . We're pretty excited about it.

Apparently I was really excited about the dancing. So was Angie. And everyone else, really. What a fun night!

downtown Indy

After a trip to the Art Museum, we went downtown for some hot chocolate at the Chocolate CafĂ© before browsing around at Circle Center, then up to Nobletucky for a movie (Leather heads). We finished the day at Monical’s for Pizza.

i haven't seen any post this week so thought i would contribute with part of my activities this week. for joe, mort and eric bad news -- unloaded the boat on friday at noon ready to enjoy a beatiful 85 degree florida day and i was not happy with the performance of the engine so out of the water and to the shop, good thing that happened now instead of last week. but sat headed out on the big bike into another chamber of commerce day, did i mention another --over to the annual ( my fourth ) sun n fun fly in at Lakeland. acres and acres of aircraft to view and an airshow started around one and lasted untill after five. the highlight of the show where the USAF Thunderbirds putting on a great show. this is a pic of Barb with the featured solo pilot, Major Weeks. Barb had to meet her and do that chicks rule junk. should have pics from next week for on wednesday will load up the big bike and head out for five or six days riding up and though the smokies. will send pics from the trip. for the boys --the mech. states that he will have the engine running great when i get back so back on the water and to the fishing. only catch is i might have to raise my charter fee to offset the expenditures.

PHS Spring Concert

Here are a few pictures from Sunday's concert. The program featured light numbers and had sort of a decades-type theme (50's -90's). Almost all the music came from popular movies or musicals - Hairspray, Grease, and Sister Act II, to name a few...lots of dancing!

Best Weather Around

Isn't he handsome?
Mom at Fort Desoto Beach-the #1 beach in the states (world?)

JB, did we mentioned Kyle played on both your bikes?
Tampa weather was beautiful-low 80's, sunny. We had a couple of showers in the early evening the last couple days, but they were short-lived. We did Adventure Island on Friday, which is the water park associated with Busch Gardens. There was not a crowd and everyone had fun. We stayed until they closed. Kyle fell asleep before we left the parking lot. Friday night, JB's friend, Barb had a small party for yours truly (51! and still going). The food was excellent and her house is spectacular. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures after the 2nd day. We were too busy.
