Best Weather Around

Isn't he handsome?
Mom at Fort Desoto Beach-the #1 beach in the states (world?)

JB, did we mentioned Kyle played on both your bikes?
Tampa weather was beautiful-low 80's, sunny. We had a couple of showers in the early evening the last couple days, but they were short-lived. We did Adventure Island on Friday, which is the water park associated with Busch Gardens. There was not a crowd and everyone had fun. We stayed until they closed. Kyle fell asleep before we left the parking lot. Friday night, JB's friend, Barb had a small party for yours truly (51! and still going). The food was excellent and her house is spectacular. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures after the 2nd day. We were too busy.

The Happiest(er) Place on Earth

To celebrate the first really lovely weekend up here in the northern midwest, some friends and I went up to Milwaukee yesterday to do a brewery tour. Our choice was the Lakefront Brewery (actually on the river, not the lake), which proved a good one. We probably had as much fun as y'all did at Disney World, and only spent $5 each.

The gorgeous weather continues (today's expect high: 70), just in time for our first outdoor soccer games of the quarter. I think we're playing the medical school today.

the happiest place on earth

The Rileys spent Wednesday in Magic Kingdom (with about 100,000 tourists). We opened and closed the park and had a fantastic time! This is the only photo I have right now.....sorry for the poor quality.

Party Animal?

doing a crossword puzzle @ an IU tailgate? & I bet that is really only orange juice in the cup.....Party on B'day girl!!

mission accomplished

starting off the spring break of '08 with a successful and adventurous dive trip 30 miles out into the beautiful and warm crystal clear waters of the Gulf where Eric and Mort enjoyed a two tank dive, followed this up the next day with what is still the buzz through out the bay area where Mort using the most basic of equipment in the most trying of conditions brought in a slot red . Note the pics earlier. the pic that is posted in the Florida Fisherman might be a better one of Mort. Now to complete the trifecta that Mort and Joe had planned long hours for ( dive trip, red on fly) and now trying for the prized catch of any fisherman -- the Kingfish -- Mission Accomplished !!!!! Mort and Joe with the prized Florida Kingfish caught about 12 miles offshore after a long and valiant fight it became table fare for the family. i can only imagine that everyone is getting tired of having fresh fish everynite and long for the frozen variety found in the Midwest.

FL

Sorry for no pictures yet. We didn't bring the cord and my disc does not seem to work in anyones laptop. We are busy, busy, busy. Yesterday, the females went to the outlet mall and spent hours and $$. Unbelievablely, Mom did not buy anything. We tried but she just couldn't find anything she needed or wanted. Carrie and I made up for her share to help beat the recession. Today, the Rileys are headed for the Magic Kingdom while Mort and I opted to go to a water park instead. Mom says she wants to stay here and read. She's probably just looking for some quiet because Kyle is not quiet unless he is asleep. Kyle has really enjoyed everything. He is so inquisitive and smart. In no time he has things figured out. The best Kyle story was on Monday. While JB (or BJ as Kyle keeps calling him) took the big boys fishing, we went shopping locally. We were in Penneys we Mom and I recieved a call from Carrie that Kyle had escaped from the dressing room wearing only his diaper. He was running (really running) from Carrie and she could not corner him. The funny part was he had his diaper, a red backpack that he had picked up somewhere and he was dragging a huge stuffed elephant. He stopped to see how close Carrie was when I snuck up behing him and grabbed him.
Last night we went out to dinner with JB (BJ) and Barb. We had a little excitement on the way there, maybe Joe or Carrie will enlighten you all. I am not a very good storyteller and I would hate for any of you to miss all the nuances.
Eric had a good time and was reluctant to go home but he has arrived safely back in Bloomington just in time to work the aud with Bill Clinton.
We are having lots of fun. JB (BJ) is an excellent host. Before he leaves for any reason (usually work), he makes sure we are all set for the day. He's in and out a lot, but at night he is always gone. We're not sure where he goes, but he is always here bright and early the next morning.
Time to get ready for the water and sun. Oh, did I mention that every day so far it has been sunny and in the low 80's?
More later
