New Home!

Hi, family!

In case you haven't heard, I got a job! I'll be working at the Center for Housing Policy in Washington, DC as a research associate. Clearly I haven't started yet, but it sounds like one of my initial projects will be foreclosures -- just like my thesis. It seems like it's going to be a great fit.

The job, you might notice, requires a pretty big move. Good-bye, Chicago shopping weekends, hello Washington lobbying/prostesting trips??? In any case y'all should visit. My new apartment is at 230 Rhode Island Avenue NE (No. 211). I'm pretty excited to have an apartment -- with a bedroom! -- to myself again;it's a big step up in the world.

I'm headed out that way 24 January -- so soon! But feel free to start booking now for Spring Break trips, etc.

City Slickers in Greene County

Erin and Greg (with Buddy) heading down Oard Branch Road
They did A LOT of riding.. chasing cows out of the woods and into the fields
The Haslers and the Todds join in -
all neighbors jumping in to help move the cattle
to the spring-fed fields for winter (the spring/creek can be seen off to the left of Bret's shoulder.. the cows broke right through the ice and watered there after the long walk)
They are headed down the road... right toward me- oh. my!!
All the guys were at the top of the hill... and I was at the bottom..alone!
my police training on directing traffic was the only resource I had!
Ralph entices the cows with the hay
They all didn't really seem interested!
Greg - with Emma and Buddy -riding Jack through the field...
it was 14 degrees but we were all bundled up so not too bad!
The dogs were dead tired at the end of the day!
I bet Henry and Ava would have loved chasing cows!
