Happy Valentine's Day to all! For those who have ever been in an elementary classroom on Valentine's Day, you know how crazy it is. We sixth grade teachers said we felt like we deserved a medal just for surviving...you know, 6th grade boy/girl relationships...it can be SO emotional!
...just wanted to share a Valentine's Day memory. We brought Mitch home from the hospital on Feb. 14 and Tutu and Granny showed up at the house on Sandy Hook with a wonderful meal of chicken and dumplings and homemade rolls. I don't think it has ever tasted better than it did that evening! Granny was the only one who was able to hold baby Mitch without him crying. She just sat and rocked him, patting his bottom, all evening. I'll always remember that.
