The Last Mom's Weekend

We have been really lucky to be able to get to know a number of Mitch's friends these past four years. Our tailgating at IU football games has been one way, as well as attending some of the functions at the Phi Psi house. Yesterday the Mom's Weekend auction raised over $11,000, much of which will go towards philanthropic causes that the boys work with and support. They really are a great group of friends!

Kyle with Bowser at the Pacers Game

Joe and I took the kids to the Pacers v. Nets game last night. Everyone seemed to have a good time (running back and forth to the concessions stand). I'm not sure the kids knew there was a basketball game going on! Katie did make the jumbo-tron, but I couldn't get my camera phone ready in time to snap her picture on the scoreboard screen. Kyle loved to watch Boomer and Bowser run through the stands. Bowser even came up and gave Kyle a hug. (Of course, I didn't take my camera, so the pix of Kyle with Boomer is not so great...)

Res Ipsa Loquitur

It's 11:45 p.m. and I just came home from 549. Here's what I left:

Wes and Stacy were tending to Pops in the recliner. Tutu had gone to bed and was sleeping soundly. Eric just came in (yes, at 11:30) to stay the night to help. Greg, who, with Bret, provided some musical entertainment after we all had a nice Valentine's dinner, just brought me home. Hannah and Mitch were both out earlier in the day to visit and help get Pop's phone all re-set and programmed (you know how he HAS to have his phone and it didn't respond favorably to being dipped in his tea...).

There is a phrase in the law that came to mind tonight when I got home - Res Ipsa Loquitur.
It means, "The thing speaks for itself."
For once, I don't think I need to say anymore....
Good night, family.

I Couldn't Resist

Aren't moms supposed to show funny photos from the past? This was the year of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Remember how all the boys wanted the sewer for Christmas? Someone came through with a trunk load of them on Christmas Eve.

Are you as excited about your birthday as you were in this picture, Mitch? Hope you have a great day!

Double Deuce!!!

Happy 22nd birthday Mitch!!!
