crazy ladder art by the canal

I also went on a field trip...I went to the Indiana State Museum. I had fun looking outside by the canal at the crazy county artwork. I took lots of pictures...here are a few.
I had to have my teacher turn the flash off every single time because I just couldn't figure it out.

Finally...done with pictures and headed to prom!

Last night was the big night - prom! Megan went with her good friend Ethan White... most of you know him from our tailgating get-togethers. She and all her friends had a great time together making special high school memories.

The Overnight Zoo Field Trip

What a fun time we had at the overnight zoo trip! This is my group; they were all so good! (Of course, Gavin had to be with Katie!) We attended three sessions last night (petting animals and reptiles, visiting the commisary, and learning about the rainforest) and even got to go "behind-the-scenes" at the Plains area. During our last session (that began at 10:30), parents had to walk around and wake up the students! When "lights out" came at 11:45, it was not difficult at all to get the kids to sleep - they were exhausted. Waking up to the dolphins peeking in the window was pretty cool! After breakfast, we had a fun time exploring before returning back to school this afternoon. Katie and I are wiped out!

The used car lot is now closed.

The Beemer was sold this afternoon....now I can move on & start selling things from the house.

P.S. Don't tell Mom!
I noticed Sara and Greg did not get the pictures posted yet, but I thought I would let you know that for the first time in nearly 73 years, Mom mowed a yard. She was determined that no one else was going to do it. Yesterday, she mowed the entire south side of the yard and now she is doing the north. She just needs a trimmer to finish up. She doesn't realize how big this yard really is, not to mention it slopes. This is not a good yard for your first experience. I suppose that now she has mastered lawn care, we should teach her how to pump her own gas.
